Death of A Marat is one of the most iconic painting of the French revolution. Death of A Marat a painting from David (whom was a good friend of Marat).

The painting shows Marat who was assassinated in a graceful pose in his bathtub.

If the blood and knife on the ground was not there, one could mistake it for him sleeping.

Despite Marat suffered from a painful skin condition, David paints Marat with perfect skin.

One of my favorite parts of this painting is that you can see the writing that Marat is holding.

It says "Given that I am unhappy, I have a right to your help."
